The science and technology ecosystem must encourage creativity from a young age. The research environment must include a robust innovation component. It is the responsibility of the government and society to nurture talent, whether in arts, sports or science and technology. And it is the duty of every citizen to maximize his competence in the service of society. This requires character. The definition of character, however, is not easy. It means integrity, it means perseverance in the face of adversity, and it means pursuit of excellence. It also means commitment of justice and social equity.

LINES I LIKED...
· Life is full of special moments, don’t forget a single one.
· Great unifications become the founding ideas on which whole new sciences are erected.
· Observations, both in natural world and the laboratory, provide the basis formulating theories.
· To bring together two things previously understood to be different and recognize them as aspects of a single entity – when we can do it – is the biggest thrill in science.
· Fashions can sometimes dominate the development of science.
· Science with out numbers has very little value.

CHILDRENS DAY...
"It is science alone that can solve the problems of hunger and pverty, of insanitation and illiteracy, of superstition and deadening of custom and tradition, of vast resources running to waste, or a rich country inhabited by starving poor...
Who indeed could afford to ignore science today?
At every turn we have to seek its aid...
The future belongs to science and those who make friends with science."
- Jawaharlal Nehru
